Chalmers launches global search for 11 visionary Assistant Professors

Från Chalmers utlysning

Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg is now embarking on its seventh global recruitment round for tenure-track Assistant Professors, inviting 11 ambitious researchers to “turn their vision into progress” in fields such as energy, batteries, nanoscience, materials science, production, transport, new space, mechanical engineering and basic sciences.

Each position is a five-year tenure-track appointment with a highly competitive start-up package, including funding for personnel, equipment and operational costs, as well as relocation support, mentoring and leadership training to help you build an internationally visible research group and a strong teaching profile. Chalmers is actively committed to increasing diversity in its faculty and encourages applications from candidates of all genders, backgrounds and identities.

Located in Gothenburg on Sweden’s west coast – a major hub for industry, innovation and sustainable urban development – Chalmers offers a vibrant research environment, close collaborations with leading companies and a high quality of life. The application period runs from 27 March to 1 May, with reviews in spring and interviews scheduled for September–October 2026; the start date is flexible, but preferably no later than the first half of 2027.
